Commemorating 50 glorious years of the Union @ AmitySchoolDubai - students from KG to Grade VIII performed precision drills to perfection in the vibrant colours of the UAE flag. Kindergartners in golden yellow and the grades in black, green and red celebrated the spirit of unity and harmony in the UAE. 21 nationalities of young Amitians created formations signifying the golden years of a country that is their home.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the UAE National Day, we had organized an author’s visit at school on November 28 for the students of grades from I – III. The name of the storybook is ‘Kameel’s Little Secret’. It is a heart-warming children's story with a special message, written by Emirati author Hassan Al Marashi, and beautifully illustrated. The students enjoyed the book signing ceremony; where each child received a personalized message from Mr Hassan.
To encourage confidence, focus and self-discipline among students of Ta’sees VI - VIII, we organized a self-defense workshop conducted by Mr Oscar Braganza.
To give voice to our students within the school, inculcate confidence, remove stage fright and to promote inclusion, we have initiated with school radio station called ‘Back to basics’. Once a week, the children share the latest news, current affairs, important events in school, sing a song, narrate a story or just share their innovative ideas. All the students across the whole school get the opportunity at being the ‘Amity Jockey’.
